Lod is a city under close surveillance by Big Brother, which continues to grow and expand throughout the city.

In recent years, the Lod Municipality, under the guidance of Mayor Yair Revivo, has been working feverishly to expand the security camera network and deploy it throughout the city, given the success of the project, which is another important step in strengthening the personal security of the city's residents and enforcing law and order.

The cameras, which transmit live footage to the control and monitoring center at our advanced Municipal Call Center, enable us to respond to crimes or disturbances in real time, intervene and minimize damage to public property, monitor and track unwanted “guests,” and detect criminal or illegal activity.

The deployment of cameras throughout the city makes Lod a closely monitored city. We are working to install cameras at all “hot spots,” parks, public gardens, major intersections, and problem areas, with the aim of recording what is happening 24 hours a day and enabling immediate intervention and response to any unusual event.

There is no doubt that this “Big Brother” in Lod creates a very strong deterrent. The security cameras deployed throughout the city have already proven their effectiveness and have led to a significant reduction in crime and disorder in the city.

The Lod Municipality will continue to take decisive and impartial action to strengthen personal security in Lod, while cooperating and sharing responsibility with the police in all matters that require their intervention.

As part of the “Big Brother” project – a security camera project in the city of Lod – the Municipality has installed a system of security cameras throughout the city for the ongoing protection of public spaces.
